Let's dive in! In the cabinet next to the laser cutter, you'll see a few black boxes, called Sparkfun Inventor's Kit. Grab one, open the bottom lid, and remove the SIK Guide.

SIK

Open the guide, and read until you get to the first circuit exercise. In order to complete the exercises, you must download 2 things (you can install them on your personal computer or one of the classroom laptops):

  1. The Arduino IDE software - This is what you will use to program your microcontroller. It's where the code goes.
  2. The Sparkfun Inventor's Kit 3.3 code library called (SIK V3.3 Code) - This is set of programs (e.g. Blinking an LED) that match the guide.

Instead of following the hyperlinks in the printed guide, please go here go download both the IDE and code: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/sik-experiment-guide-for-arduino---v33/introduction-the-arduino-software-ide-and-code
